That said, there's little downside to leaving cards on: pass the full 2.9% through and it costs you nothing, and cards can settle even faster than ACH (1-2 business days vs. 2-3 business days).

Yes, Nickel syncs invoices, payments, customers, and your chart of accounts with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop. When your customer pays an invoice, it closes in QuickBooks automatically. The sync runs both ways and there's no extra fee for it.

Many of our customers are in construction, commercial services, and other industries where $50,000-$500,000 invoices are routine, and we've designed the platform specifically for that. On Pro ($300/month) and Plus ($35/month) plans, the per-transaction limit is $1M. On the free Core plan, it's $25,000.

If your account is approved, you can send an invoice that same day. You can also send a test invoice in our demo environment, or create a demo account and send invoices immediately. Before you can officially receive payment, your account needs to be approved, which usually happens the same day. There's no hardware to set up and no waiting period.
